Tadeusz Szlenkier Tadeusz Szlenkier was born in Warsaw, Poland. He finished philosophy at the University of Warsaw, and vocal studies at Yale University in the United States. In May 2005 Tadeusz Szlenkier won the first prize on International Vocal Competition Klassik-Mania in Vienna. Since that time he has performed in many important theaters across Poland, and abroad.

Since 2010 Tadeusz Szlenkier collaborates with Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz, Poland singing many roles of a lyric tenor such as Alfredo in La Traviata, Rodolfo in La Bohéme, Princ in Rusalka, Enzo in La Gioconda, Tamino in the Magic Flute, Barinkay in the Gipsy Baron, and Alfred in the Bat. Tadeusz Szlenkier has performed also as Gustavo in Ballo in Maschera, Leicester in Maria Stuarda by Donizetti, Jontek in Halka by Moniuszko, Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly many others. The Artist's repertory there are also some oratorio pieces like Verdi's Messa da Requiem, 9th Symphony by Beethoven, and Requiem by W.A. Mozart.

In March 2008, Tadeusz Szlenkier was invited by Mrs. Elżbieta Penderecka to take part in a concert performance of an opera "Lodoïska" by Cherubini during 12th Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival in Warsaw. The recording of this concert was later nominated to the prestigious "Fryderyk" award.

In July 2008, Tadeusz Szlenkier performed as the Shepherd in Szymanowski's "King Roger" during the Bard Summer Festival in Annandale-On-Hudson NY. It was the first staged performacne of this opera in the United States.

In 2010, Tadeusz Szlenkier represented his country by taking part in the concerts organized during EXPO World Exhibition in Shanghai.

In May 2012 the Tenor performed as Idomeneo in the opera by W.A. Mozart at the Teatro Municipal in Lima, Peru.
